The value of freedom is greater than the value of convenience... true freedom, as in the freedom to wake up when you want and be able to freely choose how you spend your time every day, not just on the weekends or your days off. Once experienced, the value of true freedom is far greater than the value of convenience. Consider for a moment the fact that if you had the freedom to plan your day however your wanted, your life would probable look much differently. What would be convenient for you would also change. Driving 20 minutes to the nearest grocery store would seem very inconvenient if you were also working 40+ hours a week, but if you didn't have to work, 20 minutes away might seem like a good excuse to get out and go do something. Living in an expensive area just because we want to be close to things and near stuff we like to do, means that you will be working more and giving up more of your freedom to afford that lifestyle. Changing your mindset to accept being uncomfortable...

I love food and the beauty of life. This is my compilation of dating advice, amazing food and sometimes hilarious stories about both. I can't guarantee you will love the places I recommend or find love, but hopefully you will enjoy both a little more. My next journey has begun, if you know me, thanks for being here for me. New food reviews are on the way in 2024 as I venture back out into the unknown.

Jack in the Box (Food Truck Series Sandwiches)
I heard an advertisement on the radio for the new Food Truck Series Sandwiches and decided to give them a try. I wasn’t overly impressed, but overall given that it is Jack in the Box the sandwiches were not too bad. The ordered all 3, the Asian Fried Chicken, Prime Rib Cheesesteak and Pork Belly BLT all served on the brand’s new toasted baguette which was soft and tasty. My biggest complaint with all of the sandwiches was that there was more bread than anything else which detracted from the overall experience. I would have preferred more meat and filling, but it is fast food. The prices seemed a little high given what I ended up with.
The Asian Fried Chicken was reminiscent of a Vietnamese Bahn Mi and probably the best of the bunch. The fried chicken patty was crunchy and the cucumbers and slaw complimented it well, but the gochujang mayo was sparse and barely noticeable. My next favorite was the Prime Rib Cheesesteak which was pretty solid as a fast food option, but not as good as many other options offered by other fast food restaurants like Charleys Philly Steaks or Jersey Mike’s. Last on the list was the Pork Belly BLT which has potential, but the 2 tiny strips of pork belly left me unsatisfied and left me feeling like it was a vegetarian option without enough vegetables.
I would never recommend Jack in the Box as a place to take a date if you want to see the person again. There is however one exception, if it is 2am and you are heading home from the bar, in which case it’s not the worst option. Although personally I prefer the egg rolls, cheesy potato wedges with bacon and tacos in that situation.
