The value of freedom is greater than the value of convenience... true freedom, as in the freedom to wake up when you want and be able to freely choose how you spend your time every day, not just on the weekends or your days off. Once experienced, the value of true freedom is far greater than the value of convenience. Consider for a moment the fact that if you had the freedom to plan your day however your wanted, your life would probable look much differently. What would be convenient for you would also change. Driving 20 minutes to the nearest grocery store would seem very inconvenient if you were also working 40+ hours a week, but if you didn't have to work, 20 minutes away might seem like a good excuse to get out and go do something. Living in an expensive area just because we want to be close to things and near stuff we like to do, means that you will be working more and giving up more of your freedom to afford that lifestyle. Changing your mindset to accept being uncomfortable...

Papa’s 50s Diner (Sierra Vista, AZ)

If you happen to be in Sierra Vista with some time to kill and want a quick bite, Papa’s 50’s Diner isn’t a bad choice. The diner is right off the freeway and easy to find and given the limited options in the area, not a bad spot to grab a quick bite. The diner is very clean, with a friendly staff in a laid back 50’s style diner atmosphere and oldies playing throughout. They serve breakfast all day which is a plus and offer the traditional diner menu with a couple of twists.
I tried the Little Richard Burger with fries smothered in brown gravy, but I have a feeling breakfast would have been a better option. I ordered my burger medium rare and it came to me well done, which was a little disappointing. The meat seemed to be pretty good quality, but because it was dry and overcooked it was hard to tell. The fries were solid and the brown gravy was tasty, but nothing special and most likely Heinz gravy from the jar. For dessert I ordered the pecan pie, which was the one redeeming point, as the pecans were toasted and crunchy and the filling was silky and light with great caramel flavor. I asked the waitress if the pie was made from scratch and she wasn’t sure, but it was pretty good either way.
Not a bad choice for date, if you want something simple and easy with a cool nostalgic vibe. I don't usually rate places because the majority are ones I highly recommend, but because of the overcooked burger and average BBQ sauce on it, I feel like I have to clarify my opinion a bit. 3.5 out of 5 for the food, 4.5 out of 5 for the atmosphere, cleanliness and wait staff. Keep in mind the area doesn't have a ton of options though so I still consider it a good choice and maybe they won't overcook your meat.
